Week 5 Part B: Learning about FaceBook Data Collecting

Facebook Analytics

Facebook uses algorithms to collect data from many sources. Some of this data may be particularly useful for businesses that use Facebook for advertising. Post Reach and Post Engagement are two important items that are tracked by Facebook's analytics system. Post Reach tracks the amount of users that see each post published by your Facebook page. Post Engagement tracks the amount of users that interact with each post, including the amount of clicks, reactions, comments, and shares.

These analytics allow business professionals to better market their products and promotional content. The main benefit is the ability to track your target market by analyzing what types of individuals are attracted to your page. Using this information, different methods of marketing can be tested for efficiency.

After understanding their target market and what consumers are interested in, businesses can better appeal to their followers by creating and posting content according to what people are most likely to react to.
